We were relying on emulators for app testing, but they only gave us basic performance analytics. Emulators just can't deliver the same CPU and Memory insights as a real device. TestOS enables testing on real devices and browsers rather than just emulators, leading to more accurate and reliable testing insights. It also offers codeless testing and a unique feature for adding custom scripts based on user needs. Sometimes, we face complex requirements, and this can be tackled by incorporating custom scripts, making the product super flexible.

You gotta have an internet connection. Since this is a fully cloud-based product, you can't access it without the internet unless you set it up locally.

We were on the hunt for a tool that we could dive into without a ton of setup or a steep learning curve. Initially, we thought we’d just use it for a few simple test cases that were a hassle for manual testers. The rest were meant to be handled by manual testers, but we ended up using it for way more of the test scenarios than we first thought, all thanks to how user-friendly it is.

Every now and then, I notice a bit of lag when accessing remote devices, but all in all, it’s a fantastic tool.

The performance of the application was a key element for its success. Initially, we thought about creating our own device cloud, but we ended up choosing TestGrid’s Device Cloud instead.
